A generous donation from has revitalized a business classroom at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, creating a cutting-edge learning environment for students, faculty, and the community.

Arvest has provided a $55,000 donation to sponsor the classroom for five years, highlighting Arvest as the first company to sponsor a classroom in the Reynolds Business Building at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. The sponsorship will ensure the classroom remains equipped with the latest innovations and technology.

鈥淓ducation, particularly in business, plays a critical role in shaping the future of our economy and society,鈥 said Ron Witherspoon, community bank president for Arvest Central Arkansas. 鈥淏y upgrading this classroom, we’re investing in the future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will shape our world. We’re proud to support an institution that consistently pushes the boundaries of education and innovation.鈥

This renovation marks a significant investment in the future of business education and strengthens the partnership between 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock and Arvest.

鈥淲hen we first started inviting companies to tour the Reynolds Building, Arvest was one of the first to come out for a visit,鈥 said Michael Johnson, director of development for the College of Business, Health, and Human Services. 鈥淭hey know the importance of having a strong classroom to community connection with 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. Arvest has been a dedicated partner with 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock for many years. And to help build on that partnership, they realized that sponsoring a room would go a long way in strengthening their connection with our campus.鈥

Over the years, Arvest Bank has been a steadfast supporter of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, providing time and financial support for students. Arvest also supports multiple 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock events and initiatives including the School of Business Golf Tournament, the Distinguished Business Alumni Luncheon, the Chancellor鈥檚 Circle, Taste of Little Rock, the Trojan Golf Shamble, and SpectacuaLR.

This gift is a part of the Centennial Campaign, 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 fundraising campaign in celebration of its 100th anniversary in 2027. This campaign pillar focuses on enhancing the living and learning environment to ensure that students learn in an environment that meets their needs and has the latest innovation and technology.

鈥淚 am happy to celebrate our 18th classroom dedication at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock,鈥 Provost Ann Bain said. 鈥淲hen students have great spaces to live and learn, they build better connections, have better learning outcomes, and are better equipped for success. This room not only honors the current Arvest employees who are alumni, but also serves as an inspiration for current students. Your generous investment in our students and university will help keep the School of Business in the forefront in preparing our students for success in the workforce for years to come.鈥

The Arvest Classroom is a favorite of faculty and students in the School of Business, who use the classroom to have student organization meetings, host speakers, hold experiential learning opportunities, and Career Catalyst meetings. The room is also used for the Leadership Academy, a faculty-led initiative that provides business training and certification for business leaders in Central Arkansas.
