Christian O鈥橬eal, vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has successfully completed Class XIX, a prestigious statewide leadership program organized by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas.

Leadership Arkansas is a unique program that brings together emerging and established leaders from across the state to explore critical issues facing Arkansas. Through nine in-depth sessions, participants gained insights into topics ranging from economic development and agriculture to education, government, tourism, and workforce development. The class of 53 business and community leaders celebrated their graduation May 16 at the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.

O鈥橬eal said the experience was both rewarding and transformative, offering a broader perspective on the challenges and opportunities that shape Arkansas communities.

鈥淟eadership Arkansas gave me the opportunity to connect with incredible leaders across the state and gain a deeper understanding of the issues impacting Arkansans,鈥 O鈥橬eal said. 鈥淓ach session challenged me to think more strategically, lead more effectively, and serve more passionately.鈥

A proud 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock alumnus, O鈥橬eal has long been a champion of the university鈥檚 role in the state鈥檚 economic and educational development. He said the lessons and relationships he gained through Leadership Arkansas will enhance his ability to represent and promote the university, especially as 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. The upcoming milestone is marked by the Centennial Campaign, the largest fundraising effort in university history, which is raising funds for scholarships, student support, academic programs, and campus enhancements.

鈥淧articipating in Leadership Arkansas reinforced the importance of partnerships and collaboration,鈥 O鈥橬eal said. 鈥淎s we look toward our centennial, I鈥檓 more inspired than ever to share 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 story, build stronger relationships with our alumni and stakeholders, and continue advancing the university鈥檚 mission across the state.鈥

Since its founding in 2005, Leadership Arkansas has graduated nearly 1,000 alumni from nearly every county in the state. The program鈥檚 mission is to challenge, inform, inspire, and engage current and future civic and business leaders to build a stronger Arkansas.
