Dr.聽Julien C. Mirivel is Professor of Applied Communication and Interim Dean of the聽College of Social Sciences and Communication at the University of Arkansas at聽Little Rock.聽He is among the founding scholars in the emerging field of聽positive communication and an award-winning teacher and scholar. Julien has聽published in the best journals in the聽field of communication and is the author聽of two books on positive communication published by Peter Lang (“The Art of聽Positive Communication: Theory聽and Practice” and “How Communication Scholars聽Think and Act: A Lifespan Perspective”). In the past five years alone, he聽has delivered more than 90 keynotes, trainings, and workshops on how to communicate聽effectively across contexts. He is a TEDx speaker whose mission is to inspire聽individuals and groups to communicate more positively at home and at work.
