The South-Central Path to Prosperity Workshop will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. The event is free to attend in person or via Zoom, but registration is required by filling out . The event runs from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in room 142 of the Engineering and Information Technology Building on the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock campus.

鈥淚 was fortunate to work collaboratively with federal agencies while I was at NASA,鈥� said Dr. Constance Meadors, associate director of the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium. 鈥淭his has provided me the opportunity to bring the USDA Path to Prosperity Program to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, and I would like to create a model of Arkansas Space Grant Consortium working with state agencies and businesses in Arkansas to address the needs of the state. The ASGC program office has worked closely with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture to host the event.鈥�

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Small Business Administration, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have partnered to provide individuals, small businesses, including agriculture enterprises (farmers and ranchers), and urban/rural communities, useful information, tools, resources, and an opportunity to engage in dynamic discussions intended to create economic progress.

The no-cost series features experts in the lending industry, federal government, and community partners and stakeholders. The experts will discuss topics like how to start a business, how to access capital, and how to do business with the government. The goal of the workshop is to increase access to USDA鈥檚 products and services and improve service delivery in rural and underserved communities.

The workshop will be most beneficial for small businesses, financial institutions, community development financial institutions, trade groups, local, state, and Federal agencies, community leaders, nonprofits, and community-based staff representing organizations.
