Six education students from 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the event. The purpose of Educator Commitment Signing Day is to allow future teachers to demonstrate their commitment to teaching in Arkansas and for current educators to reaffirm their commitment to the profession.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a chance to celebrate our students, our educator preparation programs, and the work we are all doing to strengthen education in Arkansas,鈥� explained Dr. Rachel Eells, interim director of the School of Education.

Along with Dr. Eells, and Dr. Leslie Sharp, assistant professor of elementary education, 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock education majors Syrena Crofts, Madison Hawthorne, Cole Carroll, Trista Burton, Alexandria Sanders, and Makayla Givens attended the event.

鈥淭he Educator Signing Day event was phenomenal,鈥� stated Sanders. 鈥淚 would love to attend another event like this. I would encourage upcoming teachers to participate in events like this; it’s a great opportunity.鈥�

Attendees had the opportunity to speak with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and ADHE Secretary Jacob Oliva, as well as establish connections with fellow educators and future educators in Arkansas.

鈥淭he Educator Commitment Signing Day was a great opportunity to share how the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Elementary Education program has helped me to reach my goals as a future educator,鈥� stated Hawthorne. 鈥淚 was able to share my experience with the Department of Education as well as Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. It was very exciting signing my letter of commitment!鈥�
