Robinson, who is serving as an Artist in Residence at the Windgate Center for Art and Design for the Spring 2024 semester, is a figurative painter whose work is reminiscent of painters such as Thomas Eakins and Andrew Wyeth, historical American painters. His work is done in a variety of media, including watercolor, oil, and pastel.

Robinson鈥檚 lecture will start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the Windgate Center for Art and Design, room 101, with a reception following the lecture.

Robinson鈥檚 work fits within the realist tradition and is timeless, with few references to modern life. His paintings often bear allusions to the work of Edward Hopper and Winslow Homer.

Robinson is the author of “Lessons in Realistic Watercolor鈥� and has had work featured in many publications, including The Artist’s Magazine, The Pastel Journal, Watercolor Magic, American Art Collector, and Fine Art Connoisseur.

The Paris Studio Experience Exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be on display in the Ann Maners and Alex Pappas Gallery in the Windgate Center of Art and Design from Nov. 27 to Dec. 13. A reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Windgate Center.

The students visited Paris as part of the Paris Studio Experience class taught by Krista Schoening, Assistant Professor of painting. The students visited museums, galleries, public spaces, and historic monuments, where they sketched and learned from contemporary and historical artwork.

糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock students who participated in the trip to Paris and will have their work exhibited include Olivia Bacot, Jason Bongfeldt, Skylar Boone, Bailey Holley, Sunny Jenkins, Kate Lusk, Jorge Mandujano, Kristi Pruett, Pamela Rodriguez, Lucio Tapia, Gabrielle Vernor, Annika Wade, and Lily Warren.

The works displayed in the exhibition were made by students during their studies in Paris and during the fall 2023 semester in direct response to what they learned during the trip. The study abroad trip was made possible in part by a generous gift from Dr. Alex Pappas and Dr. Ann Maners.

The 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Art Galleries in the Windgate Center are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. 鈥� 1 p.m. Saturday, and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
