Junior Year of High School

Fall	Talk to your counselor Make sure that you鈥檙e in the right classes for college admission. Prepare for the ACT You may find free or low-cost prep courses, and lots of resources are available online. Your counselor may even be able to help you with fee waivers!
January / February	Meet with your counselor again Talk about classes during your senior year. Ask about taking classes at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock over the summer to earn early credit towards your degree. Take the ACT Be sure to have your scores sent to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock ( School Code 0132). Attend Explore We’ll make sure you meet all the right people as our Trojan VIP! Learn about scholarships, academic programs, tour campus, and attend the Trojan basketball game for FREE!
March / April	Explore summer opportunities Call our Admissions Office to explore summer enrichment opportunities, like taking a summer class on campus or attending one of our camps.
May	Plan your recommendation letters Start thinking about teachers, counselors, or employers who you can ask to write letters of recommendation for your scholarship application. Schedule a campus visit

Senior Year of High School

Dates	Actions
August / September	Register for your college entrance exam Register for the SAT and/or ACT if you didn鈥檛 take it as a junior, or if you aren鈥檛 satisfied with your score and want to take it again. (remember that your counselor can help you with fee waivers). Be sure to have your scores sent to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock ( School Code 0132). Visit with your counselor Be sure you鈥檙e on track for graduation and that you鈥檙e taking the right classes. Apply for admission! If you鈥檙e ready to start the Trojan journey, you can apply as early as September 1 for the next fall. Request letters of recommendation Request personal recommendations from teachers, school counselors, or employers. Be sure to follow up with a note of appreciation! Research scholarships Ask your counselor, religious and civic groups about scholarship opportunities. Check online, but remember that you should never pay for scholarship information.
October	Attend Discover Day Join us on campus for Discover Day, a fun event to learn about all 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock has to offer. We鈥檒l even waive the application fee for seniors who attend and apply that day. Send us your transcript Request that your counselor send an official high school transcript to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. This gives you the best chance of receiving federal grants and work study. Watch the mail for your Student Aid Report (SAR)鈥攊t should arrive four weeks after the FAFSA is filed. Be sure to send it to us! 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock’s code is 0132.
November	Apply for scholarships Be sure that your scholarship application, admission application, transcript, test scores and supporting documents are submitted before the scholarship deadlines.
December	Apply for housing
January
February	Attend Experience You鈥檒l go to class, hang out in the residence hall, eat at any of our on-campus dining options, and cheer on the Trojans at an NCAA Division I basketball game!
March	Don鈥檛 forget the final scholarship application deadline for mentored programs March 1 is the Sign up for orientation You鈥檒l meet with an advisor, get signed up for class, and be ready to start college!
April	Apply for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship
May	Accept any aid Remember to accept your 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock scholarships.
June	Send in your transcript Have your counselor send a final high school transcript after you graduate. Stay informed Check your 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock email account for important information. Attend orientation! This is where you get advised, register for classes, get your Trojan ID, and meet current students, faculty and staff.
