Travel Funding Guidelines

To support the professional development and scholarly engagement of faculty and students, travel funding opportunities are available for research, continued education, and doctoral-level conference participation. The following outlines the funding limits, eligibility requirements, and application deadlines for each category. Funding approval is based on the availability of funds.

 Research Travel Requests 

• Maximum funding per request – $1,800
• Limited to two conferences per calendar year
• Must present at a conference
• Must have a publication plan
• Must be able to provide previous funding outcomes (if applicable)
• Must present research at the CBHHS Research Symposium
• Funding will only be awarded to one faculty per presentation

 Continued Education Travel Requests (licensure prioritized) 

•  Maximum funding – $1,500 every two calendar years 
• Must present what was learned at the conference to the faculty department/school/college 
• Must be able to provide previous funding outcomes (if applicable) (for example, when previous conference materials were presented to their respective departments/schools or curriculum improvement) 

Doctoral Students Travel Requests 

•  Maximum funding per request – $500 
• Limited to two conferences per calendar year 
• Must present at a conference 
• Must have a publication plan 
• Must be able to provide previous funding outcomes (if applicable) 
• Must present research at the CBHHS Research Symposium
• Funding will only be awarded to one student per presentation
