Engineering Technology offers both bachelor鈥檚 (BS) and associate of Engineering Technology (AET) degrees in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) and Engineering Technology (Mechanical). All courses taken for the associate degree apply toward the bachelor鈥檚 degree.聽

The following program educational objectives have been established for associate and bachelor’s ECET & MET graduates:
- The graduates will possess the analytical & technical skills necessary to be productive early in their first position in the field and to have successful careers.
- The graduates will be prepared to engage in life-long learning, continued professional development, and in the development of creative solutions that contribute to the well-being and economic development of society.
- The graduates will demonstrate a respect for diversity and a commitment to professional and ethical standards.
The desired student outcomes for the ECET & MET bachelor’s degree program are as follows:
- An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
- An ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
- An ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
- An ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
- An ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
The desired student outcomes for the ECET & MET associate degree program are as follows:
- An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve well-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
- An ability to design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline;
- An ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
- An ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results; and
- An ability to function effectively as a member of a technical team.
