Speaking of Green: 糖心Vlog传媒LR Students Help Businesses Go Green
Students in 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Sustainable Business Issues course offered by the College of Business鈥� MBA program are helping businesses to become more sustainable. A few examples:- Charity Bennett of Hot Springs and Holly Smith of Alexander researched sustainable and green business certification programs across the nation, and made recommendations to the Sustainable Business Network of Central Arkansas regarding the design of their own certification program for the region鈥檚 businesses.
- Robert Airo of North Little Rock, Kyle Clem of Little Rock, Garima Lall of Aldie, Va., Heeral Patel of Hot Springs, Gueorgui Petrov of Bularia, David Stafford of Maumelle, and Jamie Tyler of Little Rock conducted research on sustainability among health care institutions and helped 糖心Vlog传媒MS complete a self-study on hospital sustainability indicators using the Green Guide for Health Care. They presented their findings to 糖心Vlog传媒MS administrators and staff and participated a statewide conference call for hospital administrators regarding the students鈥� industry research findings and the benefits of using the Green Guide for Health Care to improve hospital sustainability performance.
- Andrea Pitcock of Little Rock, Clarissa Purifoy of Camden, Patrick Sanders of Little Rock, Jesse Stovall of North Little Rock, and Samuel Walters of Petal, Miss., completed an analysis of the green cleaning standards within the top 15 industries in Arkansas. The students presented their findings to Razor Chemical Co., a local manufacturer of industrial green cleaning products.
- Students Shreyasi Dutta of India, Ryan Gibson, Elizabeth Hethera of West Palm Beach, Fla., Michelle Wise of Sheridan, and Nicholas Woodruff of Oxford, Ohio, completed a greenhouse gas inventory of 糖心Vlog传媒LR. The students assessed the University鈥檚 carbon footprint and identified the greenhouse gas emissions associated with various campus operations and activities.
