Speaking of Green: Colleges Compete to Advance Sustainability

Members of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Committee on Sustainability are offering cash prizes to department and offices that are finding unique solutions to making the campus more green. The committee wants members of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR community to share what they are doing to:

• Improve recycling
• Reduce energy usage
• Reduce waste
• Reduce petroleum usage
• Give back to the community, particularly the University District
• Contribute to the economic, social, and/or environmental sustainability of 糖心Vlog传媒LR
• Buy 鈥淕reen鈥� sustainable, recycled products

鈥淓ntries that reflect the greatest initiative, impact,聽results, or potential for widespread duplication across campus聽(as determined by a judging committee) will be honored and rewarded,鈥� said Sandra Vail, project and program specialist in the Physical Plan. 鈥淲e will present four awards of $500 each.聽This competition is limited to units, departments, or colleges.
