Students, staff, and alumni will come together to celebrate ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s 2013 homecoming with a week full of activities Feb. 25 – March 2.

Events include a traditional dance performance, a discussion by a nationally known scholar, and a keynote talk by actress Taraji P. Henson.

ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR salutes its veterans on campus at a Veterans Day ceremony at the flagpoles outside the new Student Services Center at 36th Street and Campus Drive West.

Activist Angela Davis made time for a class visit, where she answered questions from ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR students. That face-to-face meeting left a mark on guest blogger Tracy Nash.

University officials dedicated ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s new nighttime bistro, the Trojan Grill, on Oct. 17, celebrating the stand-alone casual dining spot.

Angela Davis, an iconic figure in the social activist movement of the 1960s and 1970s, will speak Oct. 25 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The tastes, sounds, and movements of Latin cultures – and career opportunities for Hispanic students – are featured in ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, including a salsa dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at DSC Ledbetter Hall A, B, and C.
