On Saturday, Jan. 24, several ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR students hammered and sawed on a playhouse at the Museum of Discovery, providing a glimpse into the world of construction.

The family of Benjamin Tyler Welsh, a May 2014 honor graduate of Construction Management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has honored his memory with a scholarship.

Priscilla McChristian, interim director of the ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR Institute on Race and Ethnicity, announced today that the Institute will fund six research projects aimed at reducing and eliminating racial and ethnic disparities in Arkansas communities.

More than 600 people turned out for the fourth annual SpectacÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR, which established a new record for giving. More than $200,000 was raised in support of Trojan student-athletes.

Dr. Amin Akhnoukh, assistant professor in the Construction Management and Civil and Construction Engineering department in the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT), has been selected to be a regional coordinator for the International Road Federation (IRF) Fellows Alumni Association.

ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR will welcome its first students this fall in two degree programs in the Department of Construction Management and Civil and Construction Engineering. New programs will include a bachelor of science degree in architectural and construction engineering and a master of science degree in construction management.

The Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) has approved a new name for an existing program in ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s College of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT) to better reflect the degree. The new name: Bachelor of Science in Civil and Construction Engineering.
