糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 College of Science and Mathematics will host three upcoming regional science fairs, offering competition for middle and high school students at the Central Arkansas Regional Science and Engineering Fair, the Junior Academy of Science Central Arkansas Regional Fair, and the American Chemical Society Chemistry Olympiad.

Three journals on the business of sports will publish research articles by two 糖心Vlog传媒LR health sciences professors, including one that suggests the behavior of rabid sports fans causes physical health risks.

Ryne Ramaker, a senior 糖心Vlog传媒LR Donaghey Scholar and University Science Scholar with a double major in biology and chemistry, is a co-author of a cancer research paper creating excitement among other researchers.

Dr. Lirong Zeng, an assistant professor of biology in 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 College of Science and Mathematics, has recently been awarded a $423,783 grant from the National Science Foundation to support his work investigating ubiquitination, a process that plays a role in plant immunity.

鈥淓ngineering and Scientific Research at NASA鈥檚 Marshall Space Flight Center鈥� is the topic of a colloquium sponsored by the College of Science and Mathematics and the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT) from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the EIT auditorium.

Earth scientists will celebrate National Fossil Day with an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the first floor of the Science Lab Building where the public can view fossils on display from the university鈥檚 collection.
