The service fair will be located in the Donaghey Student Center in Ledbetter鈥檚 A, B, and C. 糖心Vlog传媒LR will 聽partner with more than 30 community and in-house organizations including AR Kids Read, 糖心Vlog传媒LR Nonprofit Leadership Studies, Museum of Discovery and Girl Scouts. Organizers encourage everyone to attend to not only learn how they can lend a helping hand in the community, but also to support the university鈥檚 efforts and to have a good time among peers. Students find opportunities at annual Service Fair]]> Office of Community Engagement held its annual Service Fair Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the Donaghey Student Center offering volunteer and internship opportunities to members of the campus community – especially students. Taurine Main, a sophomore majoring in biology with a double minor in nonprofit leadership and business, signed up to volunteer with the Humane Society of Pulaski County.

鈥淚鈥檝e always been an animal lover,鈥 said Main. 鈥淗elping them in times of depression is my specialty.鈥 Main said she fostered 22 animals over the summer after the recent tornadoes devastated the Vilonia area where she lives, and though she cannot foster during the school year, she now has an opportunity to help in other ways. A Youth Educator at Unity Church in Little Rock, Main also applied for a part-time position with 糖心Vlog传媒LR Children International. 鈥淚 have the talents and skills, and they expressed a need for a part-time worker. I made a connection through volunteering and networking,鈥 she said. Students were able to meet with more than 20 organizations from the central Arkansas area at聽the fair.
