Dr. David Montague, Director of E-Learning and Professor of Criminal Justice, has agreed to serve as the Coordinator of the Vlogý Little Rock Faculty Mentoring Program. Dr. Montague served as one of twenty faculty mentors in the program’s inaugural year last year.

He brings to the role fifteen years of experience as a faculty member, experience in founding and directing the Senior Justice Center, and several years of experience as a successful administrator of our online learning operation.

He has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and service and recently received the Felix Fabian Founder’s Award from the Southwest Association of Criminal Justice for his contributions to the criminal justice profession. Dr. Montague has presented his research internationally and is the co-author of Travesty of Justice: The Politics of Crack Cocaine and the Dilemma of the Congressional Black Caucus, now in its second edition.

The Faculty Mentoring Program was created by Dr. John Miller who spent a year researching successful faculty mentoring programs as a faculty fellow in the Provost’s Office. Dr. Miller did excellent work in designing and launching this program. By all accounts, it had a very successful first year. We are looking forward to an equally successful second year under the guidance of Dr. Montague.
