Searching Tips

Keyword searches are most likely to retrieve relevant results. Sample keywords may be: bioinformatics, computational biology, pharmacogenomics, and many others.
A wide range of job titles fall under the general category of bioinformatics. A keyword search may yield “software engineer,” but that title also includes many positions unrelated to bioinformatics.

Some sites are more likely to have certain types of positions listed, in terms of: industry vs. academic, CS or IS vs. life science, etc. For example, has more industry positions, while is more academic.

If you are interested in a particular employer, try their listings for other job titles. Multiple jobs may be listed on the same posting, or there may be a link for the employer’s website.
